This one disappeared very quickly at the 2002 Family and Friends Christmas Concert.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
  • 1 box butter recipe yellow cake mix
  • Powdered sugar for dipping
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Beat 1st four ingredients until fluffy. Mix in dry cake mix. Chill for 30 min. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray. Drop dough by the teaspoonful into powdered sugar, forming into balls. Place 1-2" apart on cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 4 dozen
