Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 2 cups flour
• 1 cup sour milk or sour cream
• 1 tsp soda
• 1/8 tsp salt
• 1 egg
• 2 cups apple or rhubarb, cut in small pieces

Mix above ingredients. Pour in 9”x13” greased and floured pan. Sprinkle with a mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.  Bake longer when using sour cream – 40+ minutes.
