In the Spring of 1988 band members felt confident enough to organize their first formal Spring Concert which was presented in June at the Parkway North Senior High School Theater. In 1989 the band established an annual Ensemble Concert in which small groups of band members prepare and present ensemble music for the rest of the band, often in comical or humorous settings. These concerts are usually presented in February each year.

In December, 1989 the first Family & Friends Christmas Concert was presented. By tradition the band appears in outlandish holiday costumes and presents a program designed expressly for children, families, and friends. The public is always welcome to the Spring, Ensemble and Christmas concerts. All AHCB concerts are admission-free.
